This weekend I was happy to host what must be the most fitting follow-up to the Girl Crush party: a Braid Party!
Ali Brislin, Kate Miss, and Laure Joliet turned the shop into a one day braid bar as a fundraiser for unexpected medical bills Ali is facing after the removal of an ovarian tumor earlier this year. I’m happy to say that braid donations, shop sales donations, and online donations have all helped put a dent in those bills. In addition to the financial aspect, it was so nice to see friends and family (Ali’s mom was able to join us!) showing support through smiles, hugs, and cheers.
It was really amazing to have old and new friends come out for this wonderful party—makes me want to do it again for sheer fun!
