I put together this group of vintage dresses for Valentine’s Day but it’s really sticking out to me for a different occasion today: my grandma’s birthday!

Though the store is named for my great-great-grandmother on my dad’s side, it really owes a lot more to my mom’s mother.  I never would have named it after her—she said many times how much she hated her name and how ugly it was—but I think of her often here.  One of my earliest memories is playing with her silk slip in church and she definitely instilled my love of dressing up.  She was never afraid of sequins or bright colors, and was buried in hot pink!  

My most prized vintage is hers, and I’m wearing one of her special St. John skirts today.

I’ll be having a cosmo {of course a classic pink drink would be her fave!} on her behalf tonight.  ’Love you lots’ & miss you, Mamaw.
