YOKO ONO’s An Invisible Flower just arrived and I sat down and read it immediately.  And then I had to post immediately because it’s that beautiful and touching.  Chronicle did a really wonderful job with the publishing so it feels like you’re reading her own private sketchbook, and the new text by Yoko and her son Sean that bookend the story will tear you up.

Yoko wrote this when she was only 19; Sean recently discovered her original and decided it must be published.  You can follow her ongoing art projects HERE.

Perhaps I spoke too soon on FAVORITE VINTAGE this spring?  Really loving this mod little number with a skirt of a thousand origami cranes.
I think you could get a lot of wishes and good luck out of wearing it!

I never get a bad package in here but today’s new arrivals have been especially fun & half-birthday worthy to open :)

{new Dolly Parton pillows from CURATOR; new & restocked cards from GHOST ACADEMY}

Hey, it’s Myrtle’s half birthday!

What a wild six months it has been—When I look at the photos Elizabeth Daniels took on opening day (top), I can hardly believe how much this tiny little dream shoppe has grown! {please don’t judge my iphone pic in comparison—she’s a professional!!}

I simply couldn’t do it without family, friends, neighbors and customers, so thank you one and all for taking the time to check in on these little posts of mine.  And for coming shopping!!

Welcome back from the long weekend!  Let’s start with something pretty shall we?

It’s a welcome too, in fact—a new designer! DEVON PAVLOVITS is making simply elegant necklaces but it takes a second glance to see what’s giving them that amazing translucence and sparkle: vintage sequins!!

×

DEVON PAVLOVITS lives all of about five minutes from the shop and she must have some kind of local osmosis because I almost fell over when I met her in Vegas and saw her made-for-Myrtle colors.

If you were to dream up a store jewelry line, I don’t think you’d get closer than this!  Can you blame me for piling them all on at once??
